Spring Season Important Updates

The new Health Department orders have driven our plan for the Spring and we can no longer offer a maskless experience for our players. As such we will be moving to the hybrid of games and practice days that an overwhelming majority of our families chose in our survey. Thankfully the Health Department has not shut down youth sports for the Spring provided we can work together to follow the rules laid out.

We are planning to keep the same nights as in the Fall with an eight week schedule. Week 1 will be a practice night, Weeks 2-4 will be games, Week 5 will be a practice night, and Weeks 6-8 will be games. The plan is to start in early May and finish at the end of June. There will be NO other sanctioned AYSO events or practice. We have made coaches aware of this and they should not be hosting anything outside of these days. This is necessary to keep us within the guidelines laid out by the health department and the Township. (U14 parents will receive separate info, but that season will also start in early May).

Masks are 100% required for anyone over the age of 2. All players, coaches, and spectators MUST wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth. If you are unable to do this for any reason you will need to stay in your vehicle during the session. The new Health Department orders are very clear and strict on this mandate. We cannot risk losing our fields for future seasons due to noncompliance this year so please help out.

Also remember that our volunteers are here to help keep your players on the field and whether we agree or disagree with the mask orders we do not need this to become confrontational. Again, please just do your part to keep our children playing.

We are asking that you have only two adults per player at the fields and you must maintain 6 feet spacing between households. Even with this spacing masks must be worn at all times on our fields.

We realize that some of you may decide not to play in the Spring because of the mask mandate. We will not be able to offer any partial season refunds since we charged only the traditional Spring season rate in the Fall. Also as is always the case there are no refunds after the season starts (per our posted refund policy) and your spot on the team is guaranteed for the Spring per AYSO policy whether you attend or not.

The other main questions we have had asked are about additional practices and weekend games. The reason we are limiting practices is that we cannot monitor all of the outside arrangements and assure the mandates are followed. Again this is needed to keep all of our kids on the field this season without mass quarantines in the case of a positive test and to keep our fields compliant for the Township requirements. As the rules stand now only the positive test player needs to quarantine as long as everyone on the fields are always wearing masks. We can only guarantee that we are all following these orders is by having monitored sessions. The weekend games are being skipped this season due to the gathering size mandates and logistics of moving large groups of players and spectators on an off our fields. We anticipate things being much improved next Fall and returning to a more normal experience for our players and AYSO 125 family.
